JCDecaux: emission reduction targets validated by SBTi

(CercleFinance.com) - JCDecaux announces that its carbon reduction trajectory has been validated by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).


In concrete terms, JCDecaux SE is committed to achieving zero net GHG emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.

In the short term, the company is committed to reducing its absolute GHG emissions on scopes 1 and 2 by 72.8% by 2030 compared with the 2019 reference year.

JCDecaux is also committed to continuing to source
100% of its electricity from renewable sources per year until 2030.

JCDecaux SE is also committed to reducing absolute
GHG emissions on scope 3 from purchased goods and services,
capital goods, fuel and energy activities,
business travel and employee commuting by 46.2% within the same
timeframe.
