Morgan Stanley: EU clears acquisition of Salcef

(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU Merger Regulations, the European Commission has cleared the acquisition of joint control of Salcef Group by Finhold, two Italian companies, and Morgan Stanley Infrastructure (MSI), a US company.


The transaction mainly concerns the construction and maintenance of rail and metro infrastructure.

The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not give rise to competition concerns, given that the companies are not present on the same markets or on vertically related markets. The notified transaction was examined under the simplified merger review procedure.
