RWE: project for two wind farms in Germany

(CercleFinance.com) - German energy group RWE announced on Monday the launch of a project consisting of two wind farms, in the North Sea.


The power company states that the 'Nordseecluster' project will be installed 50 km north of the island of Juist, with a total capacity of 1.6 megawatts.

Construction will take place in two phases, with work on Nordseecluster A (660 MW) due to start in 2025, with commissioning of the 44 turbines scheduled for 2027.

Work on Nordseecluster B (900 MW) is scheduled to start in 2027, with commissioning of the remaining 60 turbines planned for early 2029
