Eiffage signs a 234 ME contract in Norway
(CercleFinance.com) - Eiffage has won the design-build contract awarded by Statens Vegvesen, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport, to build the new section of the E18-E39 urban freeway linking Gartnerløkka to Kolsdalen in Kristiansand, Norway.
The contract is worth over 234 million euros (2,755 million NOK). The aim of the contract is to increase the capacity of the main interchange providing access to the city center and port activities of the country's 6th largest city. It involves the construction of a 1.4 kilometer 2x2 lane motorway in a dense urban area, including the construction of 12 structures, the reconstruction of 1.5 kilometers of track, as well as the redevelopment of the existing ferry terminal and the installation of electrical and traffic engineering equipment.
