Renault: EU approves JV with Geely
(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU merger regulations, the European Commission has approved the creation of a joint venture by Renault and China-based Zhejiang Geely Holding (Geely).
The operation mainly concerns the automotive sector: in particular the market for internal combustion engines, transmissions and hybrid powertrains. The Commission concluded that the notified transaction would not raise competition concerns, given its limited impact on market structure.
