Voltalia: commissions solar complex in Portugal
(CercleFinance.com) - Voltalia has announced the full commissioning of its new Garrido complex in Portugal, which has five solar power plants with a total capacity of 50.
6 megawatts, for which construction began in September 2022. It reached full capacity after a gradual commissioning process that began in March. The complex's entire capacity is secured by long-term corporate PPAs, including one with BA Glass, a producer of hollow glass for the beverage and food industries. The French renewable energies group says out that the companies consuming the decarbonated electricity generated will prevent 46,685 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere every year.
