Pfizer: less stringent storage method for covid vaccine
(CercleFinance.com) - The European Medicines Agency (EMA) on Friday approved a new storage method for Pfizer and BioNTech's Covid-19 vaccine, which will now be able to be stored at temperatures of -25°C to -15°C for up to two weeks.
The decision means that the vaccine can now be stored in conventional medical refrigerators in all 27 EU countries.
Previously, the product had to be stored in very low-temperature freezers at -80°C to -60°C for up to six months.
