PayPal: towards cryptocurrency payments in the US
(CercleFinance.com) - PayPal Holdings today announced the launch of "Checkout with Crypto," a feature that significantly expands the utility of the crypto-currency.
As a result, PayPal customers holding crypto-currencies in the US will now be able to choose the crypto-currency as part of a payment made through PayPal.
Building on the ability to buy, hold and sell crypto-currencies with PayPal, customers using "Checkout with Crypto" can make purchases securely by converting their crypto-currencies to fiat currency at a digital checkout with exchange certainty and without additional transaction fees.
Checkout with Crypto will automatically appear in the PayPal wallet at checkout for customers who have a sufficient crypto-currency balance to cover an eligible purchase, Paypal said.
