Moderna: 100 million doses delivered to the US
(CercleFinance.com) - Moderna announces that it has shipped its 100 millionth dose of its Covid-19 vaccine to the US government, with over 67 million doses administered in the country, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The group has increased its shipments to the US government fivefold since receiving emergency use approval from the FDA, from more than 16 million doses in the fourth quarter of 2020 to 88 million so far in the first quarter of 2021.
Moderna expects to meet its commitment dates with the US government for all doses currently on order, including delivery of the 100 million doses by the end of May and 100 million by the end of July.
