GE: awarded wind power contract in Vietnam
(CercleFinance.com) - GE Renewable Energy has announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Vietnam Joint-Stock Construction Electricity Corporation (VNECO) to supply eight GE 3.
8-137 MW wind turbines for the construction of the Thuan Nhien Phong (TNP) wind farm in the south central coastal region of Vietnam.
The contract also includes a comprehensive 10-year operation and maintenance contract for the operation and maintenance of the wind farm.
The wind farm will be powered by eight GE 3.8MW wind turbines that have 137-metre rotors, which GE says is perfectly suited to the wind conditions in Binh Thuan province.
