Ford: reservations for all-electric Mustang are full
(CercleFinance.com) - Ford on Monday said that reservations for the first edition of its new all-electric Mustang SUV were now "officially full".
The "carbonized gray" version of the Mustang Mach-E has been the most popular choice with 38 percent choosing it, the US carmaker said, followed by the "grabber blue metallic" option (35 percent) and the "rapid red" color (27 percent).
More than 80 percent of US customers are reserving Mach-E with an extended range battery, Ford pointed out.
Also, more than one-quarter of all reservations are from California, the auto giant said.
While reservations for the 2021 Mustang Mach-E First Edition are full, other models like the "Premium" edition and the "GT" are still available for pre-order, Ford noted.
In November, Ford launched an all-electric Mustang, expanding Mustang lineup for the first time in 55 years.
When it arrives in late 2020, the Mustang Mach-E will be equipped with an estimated range of at least 300 miles (480 km).
