Coinbase: to make debut on Nasdaq
(CercleFinance.com) - Coinbase, a platform specializing in buying/selling cryptocurrencies, will make its debut today on the Nasdaq exchange.
With nearly 56 million users, Coinbase has set itself the mission to increase economic freedom in the world, says CEO Brian Armstrong.
As of 12 April, Coinbase had 261.3 million shares, including 130.7 million shares of Class A common stock: the latter will begin trading today.
Coinbase's platform gathers 223 billion dollars in assets, or a market share of 11.3% of crypto assets, it said.
At the end of the first six months of FY 2021, the company says it generated revenue of 1.8 billion dollars, and had net income of between 730 and 800 million dollars.
