Boeing: Fitch places ratings on negative watch
(CercleFinance.com) - Fitch Ratings has placed Boeing's ratings on negative rating watch, reflecting the impact that the coronavirus is having on the aviation sector.
Fitch said this new risk adds to the ongoing risks regarding when the 737 MAX will return to commercial service, the grounding of which is expected to be lifted by the middle of the year.
Fitch currently rates Boeing's long-term ratings "'A-'. The planemaker's share was taking a battering, down almost 16% on Monday morning.
