Amazon: Prime Video wins NFL broadcasting rights
(CercleFinance.com) - Amazon announced on Thursday that it has won part of the broadcasting rights to the National Football League (NFL) by securing an exclusive deal for a period of 10 years.
Under the terms of the deal, its video-on-demand service, Prime Video, will broadcast all 15 regular season Thursday Night Football games from 2023.
The deal also includes one pre-season game, Amazon said in a statement.
Since 2017, Amazon had been simultaneously broadcasting a number of NFL games and has had exclusivity for one regular season game, a deal by which it broadcast the San Francisco 49ers-Arizona Cardinals game last December, which was watched by an audience of 11.2 million people.
