Statoil: awarding contracts to 5 shipowers.
(CercleFinance.com) - Statoil, the Norwegian oil major, this morning announced the awarding of several oil platform supply vessels for a total of 3.
1 billion Norwegian kroner (about 325 million euros), with options included.
The different contracts cover seven ships held by five different shipowners. These shipowners are the Norwegian companies Skansi Offshore, DOF, Solstad Farstad, Ugland and Avila.
Statoil wishes to enter into long-term business relationships: four of the contracts are for an initial period of five years and three are for three years; that is without including expansion options for the same time periods.
