TomTom: to capitalise on OpenLR mapping standard.
(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch navigation company TomTom said on Tuesday that, with German automobile software maker Elektrobit and trade association TISA, it has founded an alliance to capitalise on the future of the royalty free OpenLR standard.
The three partners plan to join their forces in order to facilitate the deployment of OpenLR, an open standard which concerns encoding of maps for navigation and automated driving.
