(CercleFinance.com) - The German government has placed an order for three ACJ350-900 XWBs, hence becoming the first government to buy this type of plane, which has already been ordered by several private customers.

These planes are intended for multiple use: government transport, troop transport and medical evacuation.

The first plane is due to be delivered in 2020, with the other two in 2022.

"The A350 XWB is the first Airbus aircraft to feature a carbonfibre fuselage and wings, which are immune to fatigue and corrosion, as well as saving weight," Airbus says.

Now a total of around 900 A350 XWB planes have been ordered, of which over 250 are already in operationg with different companies.
