Airbus: Vietjet makes firm order for 50 A321neo
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces that the Vietnamese carrier Vietjet has placed a firm order for 50 additional A321neo single aisle planes, thus delivering a signed memorandum of understanding at the Farnborough Aiir Show last July.
The European aircraft manufacturer says that this new contract was signed this Friday in Hanoi, on French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe's official visit to Vietnam.
This brings the number of A320 family aircraft ordered by Vietjet to 171, of which 46 have already been delivered. The company's order backlog with Airbus still has another 125 aircraft still to be delivered, including 120 A321neo and five A321ceo.
