Unilever: buys 75% of Italian personal care group
(CercleFinance.com) - Consumer goods giant Unilever said on Tuesday that it has acquired a 75% stake in the Italian personal care and well-being group Equilibra.
The Anglo-Dutch company did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, just saying that Equilibra was founded in 1987 by Franco Bianco, and that it makes skin care and hair care products, as well as food supplements.
Equilibra will be run as a standalone business, with Marco Bianco leading the business as CEO from its headquarter in Turin, Unilever said.
