Eni: signs several deals in Middle East
(CercleFinance.com) - Eni had a busy weekend, with the Italian energy group signing concession agreements in Abu Dhabi for the acquisition of a 70% stake in two exploration areas for a duration of 35 years.
Eni has also signed agreements for three onshore exploration concessions in the UAE.
In Bahrain, the company also signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim to pursue petroleum exploration on an offshore block of over 2,800 km2 in the northern territorial waters of the kingdom.
In addition, Eni has signed an agreement with BP, setting up the principles for the acquisition of the exploration and production rights for an offshore block in Oman.
