Mediobanca: record nine-month revenues and profit
(CercleFinance.com) - Mediobanca delivered its best nine-month results ever, driven by "excellent" performance in its consumer unit, the Italian bank said on Friday.
The group made a net profit of 682 million euros for the period, up 11%, while revenues grew by 9% to 1.8 billion euros.
Net interest income rose 6%.
"The third quarter, with record revenues of 630 million euros, was marked by acceleration in the wealth management business, a growing contribution from consumer banking, and a good performance in fees by corporate and investment Banking (CIB)", Mediobanca said.
Its Core Tier-1 solvency ratio was 13.9 per cent at the end of March, up from 12.9 per cent in December.
The shares were up 0.2 per cent at 9.9 euros in mid-morning trading.
