Shell: to be prosecuted in the Netherlands
(CercleFinance.com) - The Dutch public prosecutor's office has informed Royal Dutch Shell that it has almost completed its investigation and is preparing to sue the Anglo-Dutch oil and gas giant, the group said in a brief statement this morning.
This concerns criminal charges directly or indirectly related to the 2011 settlement of disputes over Oil Prospecting License 245 (OPL 245) in Nigeria.
Shell will provide additional information in due course.
Even so, the Shell share is keeping its head above water, up over 0.2% this morning.
