AstraZeneca: Calquence shows promise in Covid patients
(CercleFinance.com) - AstraZeneca's Calquence has shown promising clinical improvement in most 19 hospitalised Covid patients, the Anglo-Swedish drugs giant said on Friday.
Results published in Science Immunology showed that Calquence reduced markers of inflammation and improved clinical outcomes of patients with the severe form of the disease, the drugmaker said.
In the US, Calquence is approved for the treatment of adult patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, or small lymphocytic lymphoma.
