(CercleFinance.com) - bp reports that its indirect fully-owned subsidiary, BP Products North America Inc, has completed the acquisition of TravelCenters of America (TA), i.
e. one of the nation's leading full-service travel centre operators, for $1.3bn.
According to Emma Delaney, executive vice president of customers and products at bp, the combination of TA's US highway locations and bp's off-highway retail network will help bp expand its offering and potentially double its overall convenience gross margin.
In addition, by integrating bp pulse, its fast-growing electric vehicle charging business, as well as the biofuels and renewable natural gas - and eventually hydrogen - businesses, help US vital fleets and logistics companies decarbonise, management added.
