Worldline: to join CAC40 on 23 March
(CercleFinance.com) - Euronext has published its quarterly review of the CAC40 index.
It has announced the exit of Technip from the CAC40, to be replaced by Worldline. This change will take effect on Monday 23 March.
This entry into the CAC 40 comes as no surprise, with Worldline having seen its free float increase (74% vs. 22% in early 2019) after Atos' total exit from its capital. In particular, the group will see its number of shares increase significantly (282m shares vs 182m at present) at the end of its offer on Ingenico. At close yesterday, when the share price fell sharply (-10.3%) in a stormy market, Worldline has market capitalisation of 9.6 billion euros, analysts at Invest Securities point out.
