EDF: wins call to tender in Morocco
(CercleFinance.com) - The EDF Group has announced that, via its subsidiary EDF Renewable, which belongs to a consortium with Masdar and Green of Africa, has won a call to tender to carry out the design, construction and operation-maintenance of the first phase of the solar multitechnology complex of Noor Midelt in Morocco.
"With a capacity of 800 MW, this innovative hybrid solar project gathers concentrated solar power (CSP) and photovoltaic (PV) technologies. The hybridization of these technologies is a world first," EDF said.
The construction phase will start in the last quarter of 2019, while it will be commissioned in 2022.
