EDF: restart of Fessenheim reactor delayed.
(CercleFinance.com) - As a highly controversial power station, and which, according to statements from EDF's management will cease its activity once the EPR of Flamanville (Manche) is operational, Fessenheim, the oldest French nuclear power station, is again being talked about this Friday.
EDF has just postponed the restart of Fessenheim's reactor 2 for 3 months, i.e. until 31 January.
This delay is due to a safety assessment of a steam generator which is taking longer than expected.
