Eutelsat: considers bid on Inmarsat
(CercleFinance.com) - Given recent rumours, Eutelsat confirms that it is studying the possibility of making a bid for Inmarsat Securities which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
There is, however, no certainty regarding whether an actual bid will be made, nor its terms.
In accordance with the British code governing takeover bids, the French satellite operator shall, before 5 p.m. on 23 July, announce its firm intention to file an offer or not.
If the group announces that it does not intend to submit an offer, restrictions on its ability to file an offer in the future will apply. This period may be extended with the agreement of the Panel on Takeovers and mergers, the competent UK market authority.
