Altstom: wins E150m contract in Bavaria
(CercleFinance.com) - This morning Alstom announced a contract worth over 150 million euros for the supply of 41 regional trains that will be be used in Bavaria.
The trains, Coradia Lint models, will be operated by the local subsidiary of the French operator Transdev, Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB), on the lines connecting Augsburg to Weilheim, Schongau, Ingolstadt, Eichstätt and Langenneufnach. Delivered by September 2022, they will be manufactured at the Alstom plant in Salzgitter, Lower Saxony.
"Thanks to this new contract, Alstom will be able to celebrate the production and delivery of the 1,000th Coradia Lint regional train - unquestionably the most successful diesel multiple unit (DMU) in Europe," the group added.
