Engie: MoU with EDP in offshore wind power
(CercleFinance.com) - Engie announces the signing of a strategic MoU with the Portuguese company EDP to create a 50/50 joint venture for the development of offshore wind power worldwide, in which it will be one of the top five global players.
Under the terms of the MoU, both groups will combine their assets in offshore wind power and their project portfolio within the new joint venture, starting with a total of 1.5 GW under construction and 4.0 GW under development.
By 2025 it aims is to have a portfolio of 5 GW to 7 GW of projects in operation or under construction and from 5 GW to 10 GW3 in advanced development stages. Both groups aim for the JV's operational implementation by the end of 2019.
