Engie: sells 70% stake in Loy Yang B.
(CercleFinance.com) - Engie has announced having sold its stake in the Loy Yang B coal-fired power station in Australia to Alinta Energy, Chow Tai Fook Enterprises.
The planned disposal concerns shares held by Engie (70%) and Mitsui (30%).
The Loy Yang B coal-fired power station, which has a capacity of 1,000 MW, is located in the Latrobe Valley in the State of Victoria. It provides 17% of the electricity needs for this State and has 151 employees.
