Renault: confirms environmental commitments
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Renault confirmed its ambition to reduce its carbon footprint by 25% by 2022.
This objective is part of the carmaker's new strategic plan, called "Drive the Future," which aims to build on its leading position in sustainable mobility, thanks to electric, connected and autonomous vehicles, which are accessible to many, and efficient processes that are based on the circular economy.
Renault made this announcement at the One Planet Summit, which will be launched tomorrow by President Emmanuel Macron. In addition to the Renault brand, 88 other companies will join the “French Business Climate Pledge,” a joint commitment in the fight against climate change, which involves an overall investment of 320 billion euros.
