Rémy Cointreau: FY EPS up 37%

(CercleFinance.com) - Rémy Cointreau has reported EPS of E5.
79 for FY 2022-23, up 37.5% (E5.85 excluding non-recurring items), and an operating margin before non-recurring items of 27.7% (+2.3 points on a reported basis and +1.4 points on an organic basis).

The wine and spirits group posted sales of nearly E1.55bn, up 10.1% organically, thanks to a strong rise in the price-mix effect, in line with its value strategy, and stable volumes.

The Board of Directors will propose to the Annual General Meeting, to be held on 20 July, the payment of an ordinary dividend of E2 per share and an exceptional dividend of E1 per share, also in cash.

For 2023-24, Rémy Cointreau expects flat sales and profitability in organic terms, reflecting a consumption getting back to normal in the US (i.e. at a level above pre-Covid), a strong recovery in China and the rest of the world.
