Vinci: finalises purchase of Airports Worldwide's portfolio
(CercleFinance.com) - After lifting all the conditions precedent, Vinci Airports announces that it has finalised the acquisition of the airport portfolio held by Airports Worldwide, following the signing of the agreement with its previous shareholder, OMERS, last April.
The subsidiary of Vinci Concessions thus officially becomes the new operator of eight additional platforms, with the Airports Worldwide portfolio also including partial management contracts for three other airports.
The acquisition enables Vinci Airports to expand its global network to 44 airports, developing its presence in new strategic markets in the UK and the US, while strengthening its presence in Central America.
