Saint-Gobain: investment project in Romania
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain has announced the construction of a second plasterboard production line at its Turda plant in northern Romania, a project in which it has invested 45 million euros.
This line, which will be operational in two years' time in April 2023, is designed to meet the fast-growing local needs in all Central and Eastern European countries and to reinforce Saint-Gobain's leading position in these light construction markets.
The company employs over 1,800 people in Romania and has a range of solutions and systems, served from 22 production lines for gypsum, mineral wool, mortars, building and automotive glazing, and abrasives spread over 12 sites.
