Plastic Omnium: creates JV with ElringKlinger
(CercleFinance.com) - Plastic Omnium has announced the creation of a joint venture called EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies, which is 60%-owned by ElringKlinger and 40%-owned by Plastic Omnium, a joint venture that will develop and produce fuel cells.
ElringKlinger will contribute its fuel cell activity to this company, whose annual production capacity, which could initially reach 10,000 units per year, will be gradually increased depending on its order book.
Meanwhile, Plastic Omnium will invest 100 million euros in the new company, to accelerate innovation, develop new commercial opportunities and increase production capacities.
