Thales: contract to cover US passports
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announces that it has recently been awarded a new contract by the US Government Publishing Office (GPO) for electronic passport coverage for up to ten years.
Since 2005, the French group has delivered over 127 million electronic covers to GPO. With this contract, Thales is again cooperating to provide secure technology and components for US passport covers.
GPO manufactures the US passport, including many of its components, for the State Department, which then customises it for US travellers, government officials and diplomats.
