Sanofi: Q1 EPS above estimates
(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi has reported net income of activities 1,765 million euros for the first three months of the year, representing EPS activities of 1.
42 euro, up 9.4% at constant exchange rates, nine cents above the consensus.
Sales amounted to 8,391 million euros, up 6.2% as reported, up 4.2% at constant exchange rates and up 3.8% on an organic basis, boosted by specialty medicine and vaccines, as well as a strong contribution from emerging markets.
Sanofi continues to expect EPS growth from activities of between 3% and 5% in 2019 at constant exchange rates, unless there are any unforeseen major adverse events. FX factors are expected to have an impact of around 2% when applying average exchange rates for April 2019.
