Total: solarises L'Oréal's Vichy industrial site

(CercleFinance.com) - Total, through its French renewable energy subsidiary Total Quadran, has announced the commissioning of the solarisation project at L'Oréal's factory in Vichy, the cosmetics group's first industrial site in France.

The renewable electricity produced will cover 33% of the plant's energy consumption, where nearly 4,000 solar panels are installed over a surface area of 9,500 m2 for a total power of 1.5 MWp (megawatt-peak).

This project includes photovoltaic parking shades and charging stations for electric vehicles. Total will also conduct an R&D project on this site, with the aim of analysing the performance of the bifacial photovoltaic modules on the awnings.
