Carrefour: 69% of 2019 dividend paid in shares
(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour announced on Thursday evening that at the end of the option period open from 10 to 23 June inclusive, its shareholders who opted for the payment of the 2019 dividend in shares represented around 69% of the shares in issue.
For the purposes of paying the dividend in shares, 10,358,336 new shares were issued at a price set at 12.19 euros, representing 1.28% of the food retailer's capital and 1.02% of its voting rights.
The settlement and delivery of shares and their admission to trading on Euronext Paris will take place from Monday 29 June, as will the payment of the total dividend in cash, which amounts to approximately 57 million euros.
