Safran: attends first BelugaXL flight
(CercleFinance.com) - Safran teams have watched the first flight of the BelugaXL, which occurred yesterday from Toulouse's Blagnac airport.
Safran made a significant contribution to the equipment of this extra-large cargo plane from Airbus, which will enter into service in 2019.
Safran Electrical and Power supplied the large majority of the wiring and electrical cabinets for the electrical power distribution to flight controls.
On its part, Safran Electronics & Defence supplied several flight control systems, a data loading system and a backup electric flight control module. Safran Landing Systems supplied the landing gear, along with the wheels and carbon brakes.
