Atos: planned acquisition in Germany, boss to leave
(CercleFinance.com) - Atos announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire X-PERION Consulting AG, a German consulting firm specialising in SAP applications in the energy sector, intending to merge it with its fully-owned subsidiary ENERGY4U GmbH.
"The business combination of both companies will create a leading IT service provider for energy and utility companies in Germany," Atos said.
The transaction is set to be finalised by the end of the year, subject to final approval by Atos' governing bodies
Separately, Atos announces that its Chairman and CEO Thierry Breton will send his resignation on 31 October, after the announcement by the Presidency of the French Republic that it will propose him as Commissioner representative of France at the European Commission. The Board of Directors will appoint Elie Girard, currently Deputy CEO, as CEO as from 1 November.
