Nokia: partner HMD Global raises 100 million dollars

(CercleFinance.com) - HMD Global, the owner of the rights of use of the Nokia brand for mobile telephones since 2016, today announced that it has raised 100 million dollars (85.
1 million euros).

This sum, collected "from multiple investors," will enable the Finnish company to finance its growth, enrich its range of smartphones (currently including 6 telephones) and "to double the scope of its strategic channels, while continuing to innovate where it matters most to consumers."

Florian Seiche, CEO of HMD Global, said, "We aim to be among the top smartphone players globally and (this successful fundraising) gives us the confidence to further continue on a growth path in 2018 and beyond."
