Siemens Gamesa: shares turn south after first-half results

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa shares were down in morning trading on Tuesday after the Spanish-based wind turbine maker reported first-half results that are slightly ahead of expectations.

The shares were down 1.3% in Madrid as the company saw its first-half revenue increase 6% to 4.65 billion euros, while net profit jumped to 67 million euros.

Citing "solid commercial activity," the group said that it has booked orders worth 10.9 billion euros over the last twelve months (+8% year-on-year), driven by strong performance in all segments.

These numbers are in line with the guidance presented for the current fiscal year, it added.
