E.ON: joins bid for French offshore wind farm

ON is joining a consortium that is planning to take part in the auction of the Dunkirk offshore wind farm, which has been announced by the French government for March.
The utility giant has joined the "Dunkerque Eoliennes en Mer" consortium, along with French energy group Engie and Portugal's EDPR.
The 600-megawatt project is to be completed in the English Channel by 2025 and will supply over 600,000 households with renewable energy.
E.ON - which has not yet entered the French renewable energy market - said that it has been working as a technical advisor in the project's development for two years now.
