BASF: invests in specialty zeolities.
(CercleFinance.com) - BASF has announced an investment in a new specialty zeolite plant at its headquarters in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
This factory will enable the German chemicals group to double its production capacity for this material.
Production at this new site is expected to begin in 2019. Specialty zeolites will be used to produce advanced diesel emission catalysts to meet growing regulatory demands around the world.
In addition, BASF has announced an increase in its prices for ethanolamines in Europe, an intermediary that is particularly used in the production of crop protection agents; it intends to increase is prices as soon as possible.
