Siemens: Chinese division to lead robotics efforts.
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens said on Thursday that its Chinese division will lead the company's global research efforts in autonomous robotics.
"China intends to upgrade its national industry and boost its global competence through digitalization-focused innovations," said Roland Busch, the German conglomerate's chief technology officer.
Related to this move, Siemens has entered into a partnership with Tsinghua University to jointly set up a robotics research center in Beijing.
The company made these announcements on Siemens Innovation Day China 2017, which is being held in Suzhou today.
