Deutsche Telekom: T-Mobile US to join S&P 500 index
(CercleFinance.com) - T-Mobile US, the US unit of German phone company Deutsche Telekom, will replace open source software maker Red Hat in the S&P 500 index, effective 15 July, S&P Dow Jones said on Tuesday.
The move comes after IBM completed the acquisition of Red Hat yesterday.
The market cap of T-Mobile US is now reaching 64.2 billion dollars, while the valuation of its parent company Deutsche Telekom is estimated at about 73.5 billion euros (around 82 billion dollars).
