8 percent at 16.1 euros in morning trading in Frankfurt on Thursday after RBC Capital Markets downgraded the German telectom operator.
DT shares are hence slightly underperforming the DAX 30 blue chip index, which is broadly stable in comparison.
RBC cut Deutsche Telekom rating to "sector perform" from "outperform", with a target price of 19 euros, calling for a "pause for breath."
The brokerage firm - which says DT Group shares reflect strong growth in listed T-Mobile US - states that it now prefers Vodafone.
