Dufry: restructuring program in response to crisis
(CercleFinance.com) - Dufry has announced a restructuring programme to limit the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, a plan that the Swiss duty free retailer expects to implement between June and October 2020.
This program aims to reduce personnel costs by 20% to 35%, reflecting the various scenarios of potential falls in sales of between 40% and 70%, which the group already presented on its trading update on 12 May.
This cost cutting would include early retirements, the suspension of seasonal jobs, as well as job cuts across all organisational levels and geographical areas.
